When you contact us through our website form, by email or by phone, we collect the details you provide. Typically this includes your name, email address, phone number and information about your project. Our website also uses analytics tools that collect anonymous usage data, such as pages visited and time on site.
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes, deliver our building services and manage our client relationships. We do not sell your information to anyone. We only send marketing communications if you have asked for them, and you can opt out at any time.
We share information only where needed to run our business: our website and form providers, our email provider, and Google Analytics for anonymous website statistics. Some of these providers store data outside New Zealand. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected to a comparable standard, as the Privacy Act requires.
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond and follow up. Records for completed building work are kept for the period required by New Zealand building and tax law. Information we no longer need is deleted securely.
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. To do so, email chris@cjnconstruction.co.nz. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Our website uses SSL encryption. Access to your information is limited to the people who need it to do their job.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
